4 to 6 chicken breast
2 tsp. olive oil
2 tbsp. butter
6 garlic cloves, finely diced
1 small yellow onion, diced
1 tbsp. italian seasoning
⅓ c. chicken broth
½ c. crispy bacon, chopped
1 ¾ c. half and half or heavy cream
salt and pepper to taste
½ c. grated parmesan cheese
crushed chili pepper flakes, optional
1 tsp. cornstarch mixed with 1 tbsp. water

Heat skillet on medium heat.
Season chicken on both sides with salt and pepper.
Sear in pan 5-8 minutes on each side; once cooked set chicken aside.
Melt butter in remaining chicken juices left over from pan.
Add onion and garlic, fry untl fragrant.
Pour in chicken broth and allow to reduce down slightly.
Add bacon and fry for 1-2 minutes to release flavor.
Reduce heat to low; add half and half or heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
Add italian seasoning and season with salt and pepper to taste.
Add in the parmesan cheese; allow to simmer stirring occasionally.
For a thicker sauce, add cornstarch mixture.
Add chicken back topan; sprinkle with chili pepper flakes and spoon the sauce over the chicken.
Serve with choice of pasta or rice.
