1/4 cup butter (creamed)
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 can pineapple slices in juice
1 jar maraschino cherries
1 boxed yellow cake mix

Vegetable oil and eggs called for in cake mix

Directions:
Directions:
To prepare topping
Melt butter and pour into cake pan, sprinkle brown sugar on top, arrange the blotted pineapple slices (reserve the juice) and cherries inside of pineapples slices
Refrigerate topping while mixing the cake mix
To prepare the cake batter:
Cream the butter and sugars
Add vanilla and dry ingredients and reserved pineapple juice and mix well
Pour cake batter over topping
Bake according to cake mix box and let cool for 20 minutes before inverting to cut and serve
(Use a cookie sheet under cake pan while cooking to catch overflow)
