2 eggs
1 cup brown sugar
¼ tsp. salt
1 cup shortening
6 Tbsp. syrup
2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. lemon or vanilla extract

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening and add sugar. Add beaten eggs and remaining ingredients to make a stiff dough. Roll thin and cut. Bake 350º. Put together with jam while still warm.
