Personal Notes:
This recipe came to me from Georgia Larson, who was a farmer’s wife who lived south of Crosby. She did cleaning for me during the time our kids were in high school, and always brought us a plate of these cookies at Christmas. When I asked for the recipe, she said it was originally printed in the 1964 Homemaker’s Cookbook, and was from a lady named Ida Landstrom. When she shared the recipe, she only gave me the cookie dough part, so I use the date filling recipe from the red and white plaid Better Homes & Gardens cookbook. Enjoy!
