1 c. Butter soft
2/3 c. Sugar
2 t. Vanilla
1 Egg
2 c. Flour
1/4 t. Salt

Top with any jam you please.
Directions:

Mix butter and sugar. Add vanilla and egg, then cream. Slowly fold in flour and salt. Roll into small round balls. Give it a thumbprint center and add jelly or jam. Bake 20 minutes at 375º.
