2 c. Sugar
1 c. Butter
Add:
2 Eggs beaten
1 c. Molasses dissolved in 1 cup boiling water with 1 tsp soda added
1 t. Lemon Extract (optional)
1/2 t. Nutmeg and Cloves
1 lb. Raisins
1 lb. Currants.
Directions:

Mix all the ingredients above and bake at 350º until knife comes out clean, 30 minutes.
