2½ c sugar
½ c white corn syrup
⅔ c water
1 tsp vanilla
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Directions:
Combine sugar, syrup, water and vanilla. Cook til soft ball forms in cold water. Pour ¼ c syrup over egg whites and beat. Boil other half of syrup til it threads. Pour over egg mixture and beat til it drops off spoon. Add nuts if desired.
