6-6½ c. flour
½ c. soft butter
½ c. sugar
1 egg
2 tsp salt
2 c. water(hot)
2 pkg yeast
salad oil

Directions:
Directions:
Combine 2¼ c. flour, sugar, salt, yeast. Add ½ c. soft butter. With mixer at low speed gradually add 2 c. hot tap water to dry ingredients. Add egg, increase speed to med. beat 2 min. Scrap sides of bowl. Beat in ¾ c. flour or enough to make thick batter. Beat 2 min. With spoon stir in flour(2½ c.) to make soft dough. Knead on floured board(10 min) until smooth and elastic. Shape in a ball and place in lg. greased bowl. Turn over to grease top of dough. Let raise to double. Work down. Cover and place in refrigerator. Work down when needed 2 hrs before serving. Make in balls. Bake at 450º for 20 min.
