3 8-oz packages slightly softened cream cheese
3 cups powdered sugar, sifted

Beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and mix thoroughly. Beat at high speed until light and fluffy.

This icing can be used to make stars, shells, and drop flowers. It is not recommended for rose making. Icing can be stored in refrigerator in a tightly sealed container for up to 1 week. Iced cakes should also be refrigerated.
