Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 (14 oz) pkg. caramels
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 (6 oz) chocolate chips
1 box German Chocolate Cake mix
11/2 sticks melted butter
1/3 c. evaporated milk
1 c. chopped pecans (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Combine caramels & ⅓ c. evaporated milk in microwave, stirring often to just blend. Separately, mix cake mix with melted butter & other ⅓ c. milk. Add nuts if using. Spread ½ of the cake batter on bottom of 9x13 pan. Bake 6 minutes at 350º. Take out of oven & pour caramel mix over top of batter. (Don't try to spread) Sprinkle the chocolate chips over the caramel mix. Drop rest of cake batter over the top by teaspoon in globs. Bake another 18 minutes. Cool. Refrigerate 30 minutes, then cut. (Actually like it "soft" better but if it sticks around you probably should put in refrigerator, but it's never around that long around here.)
