Ingredients:  
3 c. sugar
2/3 c. cocoa
1/8 tsp salt
1 1/2 c. milk
1/4 c. butter
1 tsp. vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Stir 1st 3 ingredients, then stir in milk (using wooden spoon) Put on med heat & stir constantly until full rolling boil, then don’t stir until reaches soft-ball stage (234º) Remove from heat-add butter & vanilla. Do not stir-cool to lukewarm. Beat by hand until gloss is gone. Put in 9x13 greased pan.

Richard’s brother John always made it before Richard. He makes it every Christmas & gives to his old office assistant & kids have to have some to take home. It’s HIS specialty. Nancy has never made it.
