1/2 cup white Rice
1/4 Cup Moong Dhal
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
Roasted Cashew Halves 1 tbsp
Butter or Ghee
salt

Directions:
Directions:
This is an easy pongal recipe using rice cooker. Cooking time 20-30 minutes.

Wash rice and moong dhal and soak them together for 15 minutes.
Filter out the water and add the rice and dhal to a small rice cooker.
Add 2 cups of water
Coarsely powder black pepper and cumin seeds (you can mortar and pestle for this) and add it to the mixture.
Add 1/4 stick butter or 2 tsp ghee
Salt to taste
Start the rice cooker cook until rice and dhal are done.
Add cashew halves and another 1 tsp of ghee if desired.
Enjoy with Coconut Chutney, Sambar or just pickle.
