Vegetables like snake gourd or chayote squash cut into small about 2cups
Yellow moong dhal half acup
Spices for grinding
Red chilly 3or 4
Broken urad dhal 2teaspoonful
Black pepper 1teaspoon
Asafoetida a tiny piece
Grated coconut two table spoon
For seasoning
Mustard seeds
Curry leaves
Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Boil dhal and the vege.and then add required salt
Fry the ingredients tobeground in a little bit of oil and grind
Add the ground coconut and spices in the dhal and vege and boil on low flame.Add curry leaves.
Add oil in a small pan add mustard seeds .When it splutters add some curry leaves
Switch off and add to kootu
Ready to eat with rice or chappathi
