1 c. plus 2 Tbsp. cake flour
1 tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 c. sugar
2 eggs, well beaten
¼ c. butter, melted
1 Tbsp. hot water
2 c. finely cut dates
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Set oven to 325°.
In separate bowl, mix flour with baking powder and salt. Gradually beat sugar into eggs. Add butter and water; stir in dates and nuts. Gradually add flour mixture, beating well. Spread evenly in greased 13x9 pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes. Cool; cut in bars. Sprinkle with or roll in powdered sugar. Makes 4 dozen bars.
