3 1 lb cans of Great White Northerns, or 3 lbs of cooked dry beans
½ lb of salt pork, or 6 slices of bacon, cut in strips
1 large onion, sliced
⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
2 Tablespoons molasses
1 Tablespoon mustard
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
½ cup tomato ketchup

Directions:

Saute onion and diced pork
Preheat oven to 325
Drain beans (not real dry)
Mix all ingredients
Pour into bean pot or casserole
Bake 45 minutes

When we lived in Redstone Colorado we met a young couple who were on the Carbondale Fire Department, Julie and Steve McCauley. They were from the south and were very friendly. We had the chance to try these beans at a pot-luck, and Danny and I loved them! Julie was kind enough to give me the recipe.
