1 Devil Food Cake mix with pudding
1 1/4 c. water
1/3 c. oil
3 eggs
1/2 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
2 c. whipping cream
1/4 c. powdered sugar
1/4 tsp. vanilla
3/4 -1 c. chopped pecans
Directions:
Directions:
In small saucepan combine butter, 1/4 c. whipping cream & brown sugar. Cook over low heat just til butter melted, stirring occasionally. Pour into sprayed 9" layer pans; Sprinkle with pecans. In a mixer bowl on low speed, combine cake mix, water, oil & eggs. Pour over top of caramel layer. Bake at 325º for 35-45 min. til springs back to touch. Cool for a couple minutes, then flip out on plate. Cool. (I prefer to keep single layers instead of stacking as its very rich.) Mix 1 3/4 c. whipping cream until soft peak, then add powdered sugar and vanilla til frosting consistency. Frost and enjoy!
