1 1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. oil
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp cocoa
1 tsp. vanilla
1 bottle red food color
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 c. sugar
3/4 c. milk

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar & oil. Add eggs one at a time & mix. Mix flour, salt, baking powder & cocoa in separate bowl. Add vanilla & food color to sugar mix. Mix well & add to flour mix alternately with buttermilk. Mix soda with the vinegar and add to the flour mixture. Line with wax paper cut to size of bottom of the pan and spray 2 layer pans & bake at 350º for 25-30 min.

After removing pans from oven, poke holes in both layers with toothpicks. Heat the milk & sugar to close to boil & then pour over layers. Cool & loosen cake from sides before putting on a plate. Frost with cream cheese frosting,
