1 ¼ c. Boiling Water
1 c. Quick Quaker Oats
½ c. Butter or oleo
1 c. White Sugar
1 c. Brown Sugar, packed
1 tsp. Vanilla
2 Eggs
1 ½ c Flour
1 tsp. Soda
½ tsp. Salt
¾ tsp. Cinnamon
¼ tsp. Nutmeg

Directions:
Directions:
Pour boiling water over oats. Let stand 20 minutes.
Cream butter, gradually add sugar and beat til fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs, Add oat mixture and mix well. Sift in flour, soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg. Pour in greased 9 x 13” pan.
Bake at 350º for 45 - 50 minutes.
(Optional - nuts/raisins)

Frosting:
¼ c. Oleo, melted
⅓ c. Nuts
½ c. Brown Sugar
3 T Light Cream
Spread over cake.
