Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1/2 or 1 whole pound roll of sausage
1/4 cup all purpose flour
oil if needed
1 cup of milk
1 cup of water
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
in a medium skillet crumble and brown the sausage. If you want more sausage in the gravy cook however much you like. Once sausage is brown, if there isn't much grease from the sausage, add 1/8 to 1/4 cup oil, depending on how much oil came from the sausage.. Let the oil heat then add flour and stir till the oil, sausage and flour are mixed and continue to stir and cook the flour until it starts to brown. Turn fire on stove to low. Add water and stir to get out any flour lumps and make a smooth gravy..it will get thick pretty fast so stir quickly then add milk and continue to stir. If it is getting too thick add a little more milk or water to get it to the thickness desired. It will thicken as it cools. Salt and pepper to taste...

Personal Notes:
One of my favorite breakfast item...nothing like a fluffy biscuit with a crispy top and bottom, covered in good ole sausage gravy.
