3 T melted butter
1/2 c brown sugar
3 apples peeled cored and sliced
1/2 c butter
1 c white sugar
1 egg
1 t vanilla extract
1 1/2 c AP flour
2 t baking powder
1/2 t salt
1 c milk

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350.
Pour melted butter into the bottom of an 8 inch sq. pan. tilt so it is evenly coated. Sprinkle the brown sugar over the butter. Arrange the apple slices to cover the brown sugar. Set aside.

In a medium bowl, cream tog., the butter and white sugar. Beat in egg and vanilla until light and fluffy. Combine the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture alternately with the milk. Pour into baking pan so fruit is completely covered.
Bake for 40 minutes in oven until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Immediately invert on serving plate.
serve warm with ice cream or sauce.
