Sift Dry Ingredients into bowl
2 cups all purpose flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt, cream of tarter
2 teaspoons sugar

Directions:
Directions:
Cut in ½ cup shortening until like course crumbs
Make a well, add 2/3 cup milk all at once. Stir quickly with fork just until dough follows fork around bowl. Turn onto lightly floured surface. (Dough should be soft) Knead gently 10-12 strokes. Roll or pay dough ½ inch thick. Dip cutter in flour; cut dough straight down-no twisting. Bake according to the recipe directions.
