Ingredients:  
Heat ½ cup milk and 2/3 cup quick oats to boiling then cool.
Combine 1 2/3 cup flour sifted with 2 tablespoons baking powder and ¾ teaspoon salt. Fold in ½ cup raisins. Cream together ½ cup butter and 1 cup light brown sugar. Beat in 1 egg. Stir in cooled oat mixture and flour mixture.

Drop by spoon onto well-greased sheet. Bake in moderate oven for 15 minutes.
