Ingredients:
Ingredients:
3 lbs. red potatoes
1 medium onion
1/2 lb. bacon
1/3 cup salad oil
1/3 cup red wine vinegar
1/3 cup water
1 bouillon cube
Salt and Pepper to taste

Directions:
Directions:
Boil potatoes with skins, cool, peel, then cut into thin slices. Chop the onion. Fry the bacon until crisp, drain, and crumble. Reserve a small amount of bacon drippings.

Heat boullion cube, water, vinegar, and oil. Combine potatoes, onions, and bacon in a large mixing bowl. Add half of the vinegar/oil mixture, salt and pepper to taste.

(You may want to use "Crazy Mixed-Up Salt Seasoning" instead of the salt and pepper. Add as much of the rest of the vinegar/oil mixture as needed.

You may want to add even more vinegar, it all depends on how you like your potato salad. Add the bacon drippings and stir again. You can also add fresh, chopped parsley.

Prepare your potato salad several hours before serving (or the day before--it tastes even better the day after you make it) and serve at room temperature.

This is my Oma's recipe. I've had a lot of different versions but hers is by far the best!
