1 3/4 Cup - Sifted plain flour
1 Tsp. - Baking soda
1/2 Tsp. - Salt
1/2 Cup - Butter
1/3 Cup - Peanut butter
1/2 Cup - Sugar
1/2 Cup - Firmly packed brown sugar
1 Unbeaten egg
1 Tsp. - Vanilla extract

Directions:

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

Cream together butter, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar, then one egg and vanilla. Blend in dry ingredients gradually; mix thoroughly.

Shape dough into balls using a rounded teaspoonful. Roll balls in sugar and place on greased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. Remove from oven. Top each cookie with chocolate and press down firmly so cookie cracks around the edge. Return to oven; bake 2 to 5 minutes longer until golden brown.
