3 tbsp. oil
2-3 cup cubed beef (or any meat or poultry desired)
2 tbsp. soy sauce
2 c. chopped onion
3 c. chopped celery
1 can chicken or vegetable broth
1 can chopped or sliced water chestnuts
2- 16 or 1-28 oz. can of Chinese vegetables
Sauce:
1 Tbsp. soy sauce
1 tbsp. bead molasses
3 tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 c. broth or water

Directions:
Directions:
Sear meat in oil. Add 2 tbsp. of soy sauce. Stir in onions, celery, vegetables & broth. Add water to cover. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat simmer 2-3 hours until meat is very tender.
Mix all ingredients for sauce until smooth. Add to chop suey & bring back to a boil. Boil 1 minute, until thickened. Adjust taste with additional soy sauce. Add more water while cooking if it does not have enough juice for your taste. Thicken with more cornstarch, water slurry if needed.
