3 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter (1 stick)
1/2 cup margarine (1 stick)
1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 tablespoon milk
2 teaspoons vanilla
1 cup vegetable oil
1 cup corn flakes
1 cup quick oats
1 12 ounce package semisweet chocolate pieces

Directions:

1. Sift flour, baking soda and salt onto wax paper, Preheat oven to 350º.

2. Beat butter, margarine, brown and granulated sugar, egg, milk, and vanilla in bowl until well blended.

3. Stir in flour mixture alternately with oil until mixture is thoroughly mixed. Stir in corn flakes, oats, and chocolate. Drop by heaping teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart.

4. Bake for 12 minutes or until golden brown in 350º oven. Cool on wire rack.
