1 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup flaked coconut
1 1/2 teaspoon soda
2 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add coconut, mix well.

Sift soda and flour. Add to butter mixture, mixing well.

Form into balls (a small cookie scoop works well for this and makes them uniform). Press down with fork tines in a criss cross pattern. Sprinkle with colored sugar.

Bake at 235º for 10-12 minutes Do NOT brown.
