1 can of evaporated milk
Add enough water to the can of milk to make 1 quart
Heat this mixture and pour over four beaten eggs, 1 tablespoon salt, I cup stick margarine and 1cup sugar or 1/2 cup margarine and 1/2 cup salad oil. Mix.

Cool to Luke warm

Soak 2 packages of dry yeast in a 1/2 cup of warm water. While milk is warm add 6 cups flour and beat. Mix in yeast and add 4 more cups flour. Let rise. Stir down. Let rise again till double in bulk. Make into rolls the size of ping pong balls.
Brush with melted butter or melted leaf lard. Let rise til double in size. Tamp down centers and put in filling. Let raise again.

Bake in a 400 degree oven till golden brown. Brush with
butter or lard again after you remove from oven.
