1 1/2 sticks butter
2 eggs, beaten
2 c. sugar
1 8-ounce box chopped dates
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped pecans
1 1/2 c. Rice Krispies
3 c. grated coconut (in the bag)

Directions:
Directions:
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add eggs, sugar, and dates. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, and cook 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in vanilla, nuts and Rice Krispies. Cool and roll into bite size balls and roll in coconut.

This is mom's recipe, I think she may have gotten it from Velma Maloney, her sister. We made them every year for Christmas. I made them with my kids too.
