3 to 4 strip of bacon
1 ½ Tbs bacon grease
2 Tbs flour
2- 15 oz. Green beans (regular cut)
Cider vinegar
1 Tbs. Brown sugar
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Brown bacon and remove from grease. Discard all grease except for 1 ½ Tbs. of grease.
Add flour to grease. Stir until smooth add the juice from both cans green beans. Bring to a boil. Stir until smooth. Add beans and 2 tsp. finely chopped onion (optional.) Bring to a boil. Add cider vinegar a tablespoon at a time until sour enough for your taste. (It should be a little too sour) Simmer for 15 to 20 minutes. Add brown sugar (you can add more to taste.) Add salt and pepper to taste.

This is Uncle Jerry's (grandma's brother) recipe. It is great with a traditional Iowa pork roast dinner.
