fresh oysters ( the smaller the better)
salted garlic butter
lemon juice
a fresh white baguette
a bottle of white wine

Directions:

Heat a grill with coals or make a fire pit
(using your regular barbeque will ruin the grill and rocks when the fish juices spill over)

Mix salted butter with freshly crushed garlic

Cut a fresh lemon into wedges

Place closed oyster on the grill (bowled side down) and when it opens, seperate it from the shell, disgard water and leave
the oyster in the half shell on the grill.
Immediatelty add the garlic butter and let the oyster bake for a minute.
Squeeze fresh
lemon juice onto the oyster and continue cooking until done (couple of minutes only)
Serve piping hot hot with white wine and baguette

How I remember collecting the oysters from Manson's landing and making a beach fire. Watching the sunset by the fire, after Zorka swam FKK. Our little girls running around having the time of their lives. Some memories never leave you!
