"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

OLD TIME RECIPE
Aletha Brue, (Harold's wife) had sampled some
delicious pickles at Norma Brue Barratt's - So
she called for her recipe and as Norma gave the
recipe by memory, the measurement for the last
ingredient was two guloops! Aletha said what is
a guloop? Norma said you know when you pour
liquid out of a bottle it goes guloop, guloop!
Pickles were perfect!!
