1 cup sugar
1/2 cup shortening
1 egg
2 cups chopped apple
11/2 cup flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp soda
1 tsp salt
Directions:
Directions:
Mix shortening, sugar, add egg, then apples. Add sifted dry ingredients. this will be thick. Spread in dripper pan. Sprinkle with a mixture of 1/2 cup brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 cup chopped nuts.
Bake at 350º for 30 minutes. Top with ice cream or whipped cream
