2 c. flour
1/4 c. butter
2 c. sugar
2 Tblsp. cocoa
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c .milk
1/2 c. shortening
3 1/2 c xxx sugar
1 c. strongly brewed coffee
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 c. cocoa
1/2 c. buttermilk
2 eggs
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. vanilla
Directions:
Directions:
In large bowl combine flour and sugar. In heavy saucepan combine butter shortening and cocoa and heat to boiling. Pour boiling mixture over the flour and sugar; add the buttermilk, eggs, soda and vanilla.

Mix well with wooden spoon or mixer. Pour into greased 17 1/2 x 11 jelly roll pan. Bake at 400 for 20 min. or until cake is done in the center.
