Cake:
1 1/2 c all purpose flour
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 egg
3/4 c sugar
1/3 c butter or margarine, melted
1/2 c milk
1 tsp vanilla

Streusel layer
1/2 c light brown sugar
2 tbsp softened butter or margarine
2 tbsp flour
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 c coarsely chopped pecans or walnuts

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9x9x1/2 inch pan or a layer cake pan.

Batter
Mix dry ingredients and set aside. Cream sugar, butter, egg, milk and vanilla. Add flour mixture and mix well.

Streusel layer
Combine all ingredients and mix until smooth. Add nuts

Pour 1/2 of the batter into the pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the streusel layer. Pour remaining batter on top of streusel layer. Sprinkle the remaining streusel mixture to the top of the batter.

Bake 25-30 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool and cut into pieces.
