1 1/2 onion, chopped
2 lb ground beef
2 T salt
1 1/4 oz chili powder
1/2 T ground cloves
1 T nutmeg
1 T pepper
1 T sugar
1 1/2 oz paprika
14 oz bottle ketchup
6 c water
1 c flour
Directions:
Directions:
Cook ground beef and onion. Drain.

Mix 1 cup water and the flour to make a paste. Set aside.

Combine all other ingredients in large pot. Stir well. Heat, then add the paste. Stir and simmer til thick, about one hour.

Everyone who came home to Butler had to go to the Hot Dog Shop for their hots. It is fondly remembered by the sign that said, "Through these doors pass the best people in the world, our customers". This makes a ton but can be frozen. I don't know how to make less.
