4 c. flour
2 c. shortening or 1 2/3 c. lard
1 T. sugar
1 t. salt
1 egg
1 t. vinegar
1/2 c. water

Directions:
Directions:
Measure flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in shortening. Add lightly
beaten egg, vinegar, and water. Mix together..
Divide pie dough into four parts and make into balls - this will be enough to make 2 double pie crusts. Either roll out 1/2 in thick for each crust or freeze balls of dough for future use.
(Freezes nicely)

*For golden top on crust: whisk 1 egg & 1 tsp. water in small
bowl. Brush evenly over crust. Cut 4 slits in top crust.
Sprinkle sugar evenly over crust.
