"A man who was fond of wine was offered some grapes at dessert after dinner. "Much obliged," said he, pushing the plate aside; "I am not accustomed to take my wine in pills."--Jean Antheleme Brillat-Savarin, The Physiology of Taste

Personal Notes:
Until I was introduced to homemade whole cranberry sauce, I used to only eat the jellied kind out of a can. We began making it at home when Eric was around 9 or 10, and it was his job to cook the cranberry sauce for Thanksgiving dinner.

I make it every year, but unfortunately, Eric isn't there at my side to do it. So, I guess I will just have to teach my grandsons, Walter and Nick.
