¾ cup margarine
1/3 cup of sugar
3 eggs
1 tspn. Vanilla
2 Tblspns. Fresh Orange Juice
3 cups of flour
1 Tblspn. of Baking Powder
Confectioner’s Sugar Glaze

Directions: |
Directions:Cream margarine and sugar thoroughly; add eggs, vanilla, and orange juice. Combine flour and baking powder; gradually add to creamed mixture. Knead dough in lightly floured wood board about 5 minutes. Using tablespoonsful of dough, roll to 6” lengths; press ends to form ring. Let stand on ungreased cookie sheets for 15 minutes at room temperature. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes, or until lightly golden.
Icing:
Combine 2 ½ cups confectioners sugar with enough orange juice to make a thin glaze. Dip each hot cookies into glaze. Cool on racks. Decorate if desired.

Notes: My mother found this recipe and made them every Christmas back in the 60s. She loved them because they had nuts. I liked them, too. The recipe caught on and some of my aunts made them, as well.
