Personal Notes:
As shower gifts I received two cookbooks. They were both Betty Crocker. One was called "Nice and Easy" and the other "Cooking for Two." Of course, since I had to work, I was looking for something easy and quick to prepare for evening dinners. Funny, young women don't cook much these days even if they don't work!

My husband, Rick, really loved this dish as did I. It became our favorite and I would make it for him on our anniversary.

My son, Ken, really enjoys it as well. We can really pig out.

One time while I was staying with my cousin, Benita Kelly in Stamford, CT, with my Mom, I made this dish. Aunt Mary Dimitri would never eat anything with milk products except cheese or ice cream. When I told her I was going to make dinner, she was OK with it, but a little uncertain about the fact that I was adding sour cream to the dish. Anyway, she ate it and loved it. Bea's granddaughter, Julie, was a little girl at the time and she loved it, too.

This can be prepared using lowfat or fat free ingredients and ground turkey, instead of ground beef.

I hope you will enjoy it as did many members of my family.
