1/2 lb. butter
3 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
6 eggs, separated
3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. soda
1/2 pt. sour cream

Directions:
Directions:
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly. Add salt and vanilla. Blend in egg yolks, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Sift flour and soda and add alternately with sour cream. Fold in beaten egg whites. Bake at 300º for 1 1/4 hours. Use 10 inch tube pan. Cook in pan for 30 minutes.
